By accessing or using Baseline Authority, including the website, software, and downloadable content, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Baseline Authority provides offline STIG compliance management tools. The service includes the baselineauthority.com website, downloadable Baseline Packs (.bapack files), and the Local Authority Engine software.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One account per person or organization.

4. License and Use

• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software.
• You may install the Local Engine on systems within your organization.
• You may not redistribute, reverse engineer, or modify the software for resale.
• Baseline Packs are licensed for use with the Local Engine only.

5. Acceptable Use

• Use the service only for lawful compliance management purposes.
• Do not attempt to circumvent licensing or access controls.
• Do not share account credentials.

6. Intellectual Property

• Baseline Authority, its software, and associated materials are our intellectual property.
• DISA STIG content is public domain and sourced from cyber.mil.
• The value-added processing, packaging, and tooling is proprietary.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

• We do not guarantee that compliance actions taken through our tools will satisfy all regulatory requirements.
• Users are responsible for verifying compliance with their organization's specific requirements and applicable regulations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Baseline Authority and Aftershock Network from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms.
• You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
